Dust removal is the first indispensable step in the conservation of cultural heritage and before any archive transfer. Materials such as leather, parchment, cardboard and wood react to dust by accelerating decay and attracting insect and fungal attacks. To safeguard book and documentary heritage, we apply a strict scientific protocol:

Calibrated intervention: We use adjustable professional vacuum extractors with absolute HEPA H14 filters, or extraction hoods with soft-bristle brushes for the most valuable and fragile items.
Support decontamination: Shelving is dusted and disinfected with quaternary ammonium salt solutions to eliminate and prevent mold and spores.

Dedicated logistics and vehicle fleet: We use owned vehicles of various capacities, equipped with tail lifts and anchoring systems suited to preserving the integrity of the load.
Specialized packaging systems: Beyond traditional triple-wall cartons, we use sealed metal roll-containers with heat-shrink PVC covers — a total barrier against dust, impact, and outside humidity.
From custom packaging by material type to final topographic repositioning, we manage the entire project and issue complete delivery documentation.

We operate two facilities dedicated to the safekeeping of archival, library and artistic heritage: the primary hub in Rome and the Monza site. Both facilities are designed to guarantee maximum installation security and operate in full compliance with international IFLA and ICPAL standards.

Library and archive disinfection is a fundamental pillar of preventive conservation, essential to stop biodeterioration and ensure the healthiness of places of culture. We intervene with rigorous protocols that treat both the paper heritage and the environments in which it is kept in an integrated way.

Disinfection of volumes and documents: We apply targeted treatments to archival and library units to eliminate spores, mold and latent bacterial loads. Every intervention is carried out with eco-compatible products, approved by the Ministry of Culture, which act effectively on the microorganism without altering the chemical-physical components of paper, parchment or historical bindings.
Disinfection of furnishings and building structures: We dust and decontaminate the archive's entire ecosystem. Shelving, metal compactors, cabinets and floors are treated with disinfectant solutions based on quaternary ammonium salts, eliminating biological deposits and preventing the formation of new outbreaks of infestation.
