Start with a preliminary technical site inspection.

The exploratory technical inspection is the first step for any intervention on archives, libraries or cultural assets. It is carried out by one of our specialised technicians, takes 1 to 3 hours, is free of charge and creates no contractual obligation. Only after assessing your holdings in person can we draw up a precise, useful quotation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions before contacting us

Is the site visit really free and with no obligation?
+
Yes, without exception. The preliminary site visit incurs no cost or contractual obligation. It allows us to gather the information needed to draw up an accurate quote, and lets you assess our professionalism before making any decision.
How does the process work, from first contact to the actual intervention?
+
Contact → response within 24h with a proposed date for the site visit → on-site visit (1 to 3 hours) → written quote within 5 business days → signing of confidentiality agreement → operational planning → intervention. We don't skip any steps.
Do you operate throughout Italy?
+
Yes. With our Rome and Monza sites we cover the whole of Italy operationally. For projects outside the Centre-North, we coordinate logistics with a remote preliminary assessment plus an on-site technical visit before the project starts. For international transport we operate through the Porcacchia Egidio international network.
Can I entrust you with a private archive not bound by the Soprintendenza (heritage authority)?
+
Absolutely. Most of the private archives we work with have no formal heritage designation. Our specialization isn't limited to legally protected assets: it applies to any historical document collection that deserves to be treated with the care of a professional in the field.
Do you issue the technical documentation required for MiC (Ministry of Culture) tenders?
+
Yes. We produce itemized quotes broken down by cost item, compliant with the requirements of MiC, Fondazione Cariplo, Compagnia di San Paolo and PNRR calls. We also issue the work plan with a timeline, which is often a mandatory attachment. This service is included in the preliminary site inspection.
How do you handle the confidentiality of document contents?
+
Before any access to the collection, all operational staff sign an individual NDA specific to the project. The main contract includes reinforced professional confidentiality clauses. For notarial or judicial archives, or archives with sensitive data, we adopt additional protocols agreed with the client.
