Specialised logistics and secure handling for art
There is no standard model for transporting works of art. A 16th-century canvas requires completely different logistics and packing solutions from a bronze sculpture, an illuminated medieval manuscript or a Roman mosaic. Every movement is customised according to distance, mode of transport and microclimatic conditions along the route.
Since 1950 we have worked in fine art logistics, alongside state museums, heritage authorities, private galleries, auction houses, dioceses and private collectors. Every transport service begins with a preliminary technical analysis: type of asset, dimensions, fragility, declared value and delivery conditions. Only then do we define the operational plan with special packaging, custom-built crates and secure transport.
Thanks to a consolidated network and top-level operating standards in art logistics, we guarantee complete security during the transfer of your works across the whole national territory and in over 40 countries worldwide.

The secure transport process
Site survey and technical analysis
Analysis of the conservation condition of the work, identification of specific critical points and photographic documentation (if requested). For works of exceptional value, we involve the client’s conservator (on request).
Design of the packaging system
Selection of materials (polyethylene foam, Tyvek, Ethafoam, poplar wood) and design of the support structure. For irregularly shaped works, we build supports cast directly from the artwork.
Custom crate construction
The crates are built in wood with suitable, certified materials. Each crate is numbered and associated with the work.
Packaging in the client's presence
Packaging takes place at the client's premises, with the option for the conservation manager to be present. Photographic report at every stage.
Transport with a dedicated vehicle
Company-owned vehicles with integrated GPS.
Documented delivery and unpacking
Unpacking takes place in the presence of the recipient. Verification of the artwork's condition, signing of the delivery report, final photographic documentation of the conservation status.
"A work that has survived five centuries must not suffer damage during the 200 kilometers that separate it from its new home. It is a responsibility we take seriously."
